Newly built in the heart of San Francisco, the Orchard Garden Hotel is California's first generation of truly <i>green</i> hotels--the only hotel built to the nationally accepted standards for green buildings developed by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), for which the hotel has earned a coveted Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design certification in June, 2007. The Orchard Garden was only the third hotel in the US and the fourth hotel in the world with this certification.

The 86 stylish guest rooms, gracious boardroom, and inviting rooftop garden combine graceful luxury with state-of-the-art design in an intimate, residential atmosphere. Roots Restaurant serves only the freshest locally sourced organic products whenever possible as well as sustainable meat and seafood at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
